Why are we afraid to die?
There’s something that baffles me like a tangled yarn and I can’t find the beginning and the end. And I think the answer will continue to elude me as long as we’re in this imperfect world.
There are people who want to commit suicide but death evades them. There are people who have a bright future but it seems that this world does not deserve them for they get killed in wars, accidents, and crimes.
This life, as long as it exists, will always be beset by woes and worries. Calamities and misfortunes cannot be avoided by anyone from the highest to the lowest citizen of a country.
Whoever we are, why are we afraid to die?#
Think of it. When someone dies all sufferings stop. While it’s true that there can’t be anymore happenings and enjoymebnt but on teh other hand, the soul is laid to rest. No more worries. Isn’t that unachievable by any living soul?
Despite all these deterioration with our world why do we want to go on with our lives? Please don’t get me wrong. I am not implying that I don’t want to live any longer. I’m just wondering why we are afraid to die when in fact there’s nothing to fear when we die, is there?
Well, I believe we have to be thankful every waking day that God still has a purpose in our lives that He is continually sustaining us.
