Supposed you and your spouse were looking forward to have a baby. You consulted your family physician to make sure you are going to have healthy kids. The doctor tells you that you are indeed going to have a smart kid but that he/she is going to have defective lungs and eyes and kidney and that s/he has a tendency to develop cerebral palsy. And the only way for him/her to survive is for you to donate or share your body organ. Would you still proceed to have this baby or you’re going to abort before it’s too late? I suppose you will opt for the easy way out.

This week’s lesson leaves me utterly speechless. Like my illustration above, God knew exactly what was going to happen even before He created you and me. He knew the agonies, rejection and shame he had to go through should man fall into sin. But all of this did not stop him. Undaunted, He went on with His plan. I just can’t imagine how great and marvelous His love is. There is no word good enough to describe it. It will take years to talk and write about it. Such is the love of God.
