Why do we compromise when we pray to God

Published by dzanang under reflection Edit This

Does God need anything from us? Does He need our money to support His work? When we ask God to give us a job, do we compromise with a vow like we will give our first month pay back to Him through church as an investment. And then sooner or later we find a job. If we didn’t compromise to give something back, does it mean we won’t find a job through God’s help? Did God provide that job because He will get something back in return?

Sometimes I think that we misrepresent God or misinterpret Him. We think that God is doing us a favor in exchange of something. But our God provides without expecting something back. He doesn’t need to be bribed to answer our prayers.

I think I have learned a very good lesson from this experience of mine. God provides because He loves us so.
