This troubled world

Surely there is no peace no matter what we do. This world is at its last pace and a few more years we will all go home.

Everywhere we look there’s trouble and unrest, bombing and massacre in Mumbai, protest and unrest in Bangkok, a totally helpless baby brutally murdered by his mother, stepdad and their lodger–these are only the ones I saw in the news. I’m sure somewhere out there there’s a domestic helper who’s been abused and maltreated by her employer, someone is laid off from work, another loses all his possessions because of bad debts and bankruptcy, some elderly is ruthlessly attacked by yobs for some small cash, a drunken driver running into another car killing a family with innocent kids, all these and much more.

Sure this world is so much in trouble every single minute of the day. There is no place to hide. Nowhere in this world can we go to where peace and perfectness reside. Why else would we want to stay longer in this troubled world?
