Christmas and Easter dates

Published by dzanang under Devotional, God cares Edit This

I have a strong conviction that these two events are deliberately messed up to deviate people’s mind from the truth.

In the Bible the story of Jesus’s birth comes with the three shepherds keeping watch their flocks by night. They were out in the open field. That means it couldn’t be in winter time.

Meanwhile, the resurrection of Jesus which traditional Catholics celebrate with easter happened in the cold nights of either autumn or winter. Remember when Peter denied Jesus the second time? He was trying to disguise himself  and joined a group of people who were sitting by the fire to warm himself.

I don’t have yet a strong evidence of these claims of mine but we all know that Jesus wasn’t born on December 25.

Ellen White states that God doesn’t really want us to celebrate the birth of Jesus but He wants us to keep in mind that the main purpose of His first coming to earth was to die for us and to save us from the penalty of sin which is death. He gave His life that we might have eternal life through Jesus Christ.

What a wondrous love!
