Signs of the times
Many of you might have already heard about Planet X that scientists believe will appear in 2012. I admit I have never heard about it until now. A few days ago my husband was watching this series on YouTube and it roused my curiosity.It’s very interesting how they compare manuscripts from the Bible, Egyptian historians, and scientific discoveries.
In the first part of a five-part series, it’s interesting to note what the narrator said, “Who needs the bad news that life as we know it will cease to exist? They claim that in 2012 we will have 2 suns and this phenomenon will cause more havoc but it will also disappear and men will live normally again and even more prudent this time.
Also while watching this series I think I figured out how everyone will see Jesus appear the second time. It’s like the rising of the sun where the whole world sees it but not at the same time. After all, the Bible didn’t mention that everyone will see Him coming simultaneously. And I don’t think the earth will be flat so that the entire world’s population will see Him come at the same time. However, it is still incomprehensible at one point because in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 it says “Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.” So, I imagine Jesus and His host of angels are suspended in the air like the sun and the righteous from all corners of the earth will be lifted up towards Him. But then it’s also hard to imagine how the entire world will see him simultaneously if I’m going to rely on the sun as my model and the earth will remain round. Oh, well, such thoughts are too deep for me.
