Mistakes

Published by dzanang under reflection Edit This

I lost my temper and I’m sitting here speechless, humbled, and remorseful. It’s really horrible when there’s no one else to blame but yourself. Last time I wrote about God making something beautiful out of our mistakes and I could use of those right now. I want Jesus to turn my mistake into something like a blessing. But I think God cannot condone our stupid mistakes and take us out from the mess just like that. All our mistakes must come with a consequence. And to be honest, I’m afraid of the consequence. What have I done? Well, I just complained about something trivial which turned out to be my entire fault. Isn’t that plain stupid? If I only held my temper.Sometimes we rage and it ruins our reason. Then we realized we  said things that we shouldn’t have and it’s too late to take it back.Patience. It’s one of my greatest weakness. I have it when I don’t need it and disappears when I need it. A gentle answer turns away rage, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1

800 atheist buses, would you like to ride in it?

Published by dzanang under reflection Edit This

800 buses carrying an atheist slogan “There’s probably no God, Now stop worrying and enjoy life! have just started hitting the streets in London and across England.

Campaigners are very excited about this and now they feel that finally their voice is heard loud and clear.

It is very saddening to hear or read news like this. Surely, the enemy is doing all his best to gain ground against the truth.

Their slogan implies that people are worried about the existence of God. I think one reason why they are worried is because too many professed Christians have misrepresented God and delivered a twisted truth. They say, “If you don’t believe in God, you will go to hell.” I have not only read people talk about it. I have practically met people who were opposed to Christians because of this message.

Also whenever tragedies strike people tend to blame God for allowing such things to happen to people. But we must tell them that if God is not there, it could be worse.

The Ten Commandments

Published by dzanang under reflection Edit This

My Grade 3 teacher, though many were against him, taught me a lot and many of my pathfinder skills I learned from him. When he left I have never learned any more skills.

Anyway, he asked us to memorize the Ten Commandments and I owe it to him because until now I still remember them by heart.

Thou shalt not have no other gods before me.

Thou shalt not have any graven image.

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.

Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.

Honor thy father and thy mother.

 Thou shalt not kill.

 Thou shalt not steal.

Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbors.

Thou shalt not covet.

These are just the summary. Following these commands to the letter does not guarantee a ticket to heaven. The Pharisees were known to be the strictest followers of the commandment yet Jesus called them hypocrites for they failed to understand the most important part of the commandments. Jesus then magnified these ten commandments and made the people understand and see the other side of the coin.

One on ocassion, a rich young ruler came to ask Jesus how he could enter heaven. Jesus pointed him to obeying the commandments which the rich man claimed he had strictly followed them from birth and never stumbled on even one of them. Jesus then told him to go dispatch of his wealth and follow him. Of this, the rich man turned and walked away. And Jesus said that certainly, it is easier for a camel to get through a needle’s eye than for a rich man to enter heaven.

Is God’s kingdom really seem impossible to attain?

Well, if we try to get there on our own, then it is. But God provided a way for us through Jesus Christ.
